Please note that I do understand how languages evolve, and American pronunciation asserts some strong influence on British pronunciation since the era of internet. I can understand that many Britons these days may choose to pronounce the verb form protest as PRO-test instead of pro-TEST. Same way many Britons now say schedule as SKEH-juhl instead of SHEH-juhl. 💰✍️
